Helge Sibast and the celebrated Danish furniture
architect Arne Vodder, an apprentice of
Finn Juhl, began a long and trusted collaboration in the 1950’s.
The collaboration led to the production of
several different dining chairs, tables, sideboards by Sibast Furniture. The simple and functional designs
made with high quality craftsmanship were sold around
the world and were particularly popular in Germany, England, Japan, Australia, and Scandinavia. In the 1960’s Sibast Furniture
even reached The White House in the USA.
In 1953 Helge Sibast designed the chairs
Sibast No 7 and Sibast No 8.
