Affectionately known as the Mama Bear Chair, the CH78 Lounge Chair was originally introduced by Hans J. Wegner in 1954 as an extension of his compact CH71 Chair. In 2024, Carl Hansen & Søn commemorates the chair’s 70th anniversary with a celebratory special edition presenting a new woollen upholstery with a subdued colour palette.

The special edition is in Green with an FSC-certified oiled oak frame. The chair comes without a neck pillow.
