Bernhard Pedersen & Søn | Sideboard No. 156
Sideboard No. 156 is the second of the Midcentury sideboards relaunched by Bernhard Pedersen & Son. The sideboard, designed in 1966 and re-launched in 2016, taps into the essence of Danish Modern with its clean lines, functional design and expert craftsmanship.
The piece features tambour doors that roll seamlessly into the back, a rare technique today that is not only pleasing to the eye, but also functional and space efficient. The interior of the cabinet is beautifully finished with shelves on each side and a middle section for optional pull-out dovetail trays for added storage or an adjustable shelf. The curved front edges are constructed in solid wood as are the base and legs. Adding extra finesse to the design, the legs are pulled slightly under the sideboard to account for skirting, making it possible to place the piece up close to the wall. With a veneered back it can also find great use as a room divider. The eloquent lines and high quality cabinetmaking are sure to make this piece of furniture an asset in any setting.
The pull-out dovetail trays are available in two optional heights, 5 cm and 11.5 cm, and are easily adapted to the middle section of the sideboard.
Sideboard no. 142 is as standard delivered with three shelves (one shelf in the left section and two shelves in the right section). The combination of shelves and trays in the middle section has to be specified. Please contact Danish Red for further information.
Each piece is made in Denmark and individually numbered upon final assembling.
